Gangtok is the capital of Sikkim and is situated at a height of 5,500ft above sea level. The Corbett national park named after Jim Corbett was established in the year 1936 and is also referred as the Hailey National Park. Kaziranga National Park
Kaziranga is a title of a remarkable success story of conservation of the One Horned India Rhinoceros and other wild lives. It is not only the homeland of the Great Indian One Horned Rhinoceros, but also provides shelter to a variety of wild lives. It is one of the significant natural habitat for in site conservation of biological biodiversity of universal value. The values and criteria made Kaziranga National Park to get inscribed in the World Heritage Site List 1985. Located on the banks of the mighty Brahmaputra River in the far North East of India, Assam, It covers an area of approximately 430-sq-kms with its swamps and tall thickets of elephant grass making it the ideal habitat for the Indian One-Horned Rhino. Due to limitless poaching of this prehistoric survivor, the Park was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1940.
Ladakh

Cherrapunji
Cherrapunji in the state o Meghalaya is noted for its orange groves, orange honey and the limestone caves.Cherrapunji is situated at a distance of about 56 km away from Shillong and at an altitude of about 4,500 feet. The Guinness Book of World Records has notes carrying about this misty valleys as the wettest place on earth. The other main feature of Cherrapunji is that it houses the world's fourth highest waterfall the Nohkalikai Falls. One of the other major attractions of Cherrapunji is the living bridges where for years and years people have developed techniques for growing roots of trees into large bridges. The process takes 10–15 years and the bridges typically last hundreds of years, the oldest ones in use being over 500 years old.
