Kerala Holiday – 16 – 29 March 2011
Our fortnight in Kerala was a fascinating, enjoyable and relaxed holiday.
The arrangements with Oriana Travel based in Cochin were excellent and though we were on a mid-price range itinerary, the hotels were varied and up to a good standard. Cuisine was very good throughout, though naturally mainly Indian and the entire service staff at all places were very friendly, helpful and considerate.
Our holiday included a 2-day house-boat experience on the backwaters of Kerala, which is not to be missed and the particular visits and shows arranged by the agent were excellent.
One is also able to experience the Kerala way of life in the towns and villages by including the hiring of a car and driver, which we think is essential.
Our driver was, without doubt, as good as you can get and his assistance in all matters was beyond expectations.
Our agency kept their finger on the pulse by almost daily phone calls and a meeting at the end of the holiday.
We would recommend this travel agency to anyone wishing to holiday in Kerala.
