Hi Nirmal,
My wife and I have been thinking about a visit to South India for many years and finally we took the decision.
I searched through internet which were the different possibilities and I can say that the package prepared and offered by Oriana Holidays was the best .
I gave some general ideas of the places we wanted to see you were always very professional and quick to answer to our request and prepared for us a tailored itinery.
We started in late December 2010 from Chennai (the old Madras) and travelled through the Tamil Nadu state to see the temples of the Pallava and Chola dynasties ; we visited Mahabalipuram, Kanchipuram, Pondicherry, Darasuram, Chidambaram, Kumbakonam, Tanjore, Trichy, Madurai.
Then we visited the Kerala state with its gorgeous nature, spent a night in the Periyar (Thekkady) wildlife sanctuary and on the houseboat in the backwaters and arrived at Kochi. Every day we were moving to a different place with a very comfortable car driven by Mr. Guna who was always very kind and available, on time and careful and in each place we met local guides who were very well prepared to explain to us what we were visiting. We stayed in eight different hotels all of excellent standard and in all of them we found a warm hospitality, out of which we would like to mention the Ideal beach at Mahabalipuram on the Bengal gulf coast, the Maison Perumal at Pondicherry, an oasis of tranquillity and the Greenwood at Periyar on the Cardamom Hills.
Very big thanks to you for having organized this marvellous and unforgettable trip for us and for the dinner and gift he offered us on the last evening in Kochi.
