Dear Nirmal,
First of all, thank you very much for your service and attention at any time during our trip trough Kerala. As I explained to you during the lunch, our evaluation of Hotels and entertainments are as follows: Wayanad : Hotel Silver Wood Wayanad: correct but far from the Parks (not useful) Entertainments: Lakes: nice view but too crowdy. Cave very interesting. Waterfall not worth it (in the road much nicer). The Tilpothy park awful the way they saw it to you (is not a Jeep-Safari at all), and too crowdy. Nagarahole: The Serai Hotel: Very good-excellent service. Safari Boat excellent. Jeep-Safari excellent. Athirapilly: Hotel Rain Forest VERY BAD. Mismanaged dirty, not hot water, noisy and very expensive meals. The situation is excellent (fortunately). The falls wonderful. Munnar: Blackberry Hotel well situated, nice view, but decoration old fashion. Excursions: Lakes very crowdy and dirty. Park wonderful. The Museum ok. Road from Munnar to Madurai-Tekkady wonderful wonderful (The best) Madurai: Hotel Heritage very nice but service not very good. Noisy the second line of rooms due to a electric Power station.
Excursions: Temple excellent, Palace a bit abandoned, cave-temple we didn´t do. Periyar: Hotel Cardamom excellent. Great service, food, attention. Very nice place. Excursions: Trekking nearby forest excellent, boat rafting awful (expend time). Evening boat not very good (nothing to do with Nagarahole). Jeep Safari something like pulling our legs, breakfast and trekking not professional. Alleppey Hotel Punnamada correct but low maintenance. Situation very nice. Meals correct. Nothing to do there. Boar River Escapes, very nice experience, the tripulation very nice, but the boat a bit old.
And last but no least Oriana Holidays: excellent. Thank you very much. Best regards and very happy and prosperous New Year 2013.
